2020 Roush Mustang – today’s tempter

Supercharged fastback

It’s hardly a secret that the sixth-generation Mustangs launched from 2014 have been a huge success for Ford.

Locally, there was a time when the company was selling them faster than they could be delivered.

Of course they also proved to be a perfect platform for modification and one of the popular options was the Jack Roush offerings, handled locally by Mustang Motorsport.

In a story on this generation Roush we wrote: “Available in manual or automatic some of the standout features of the JRE are the exclusive Phase 3 supercharger upgrade increasing power to 775hp, engine, gearbox and diff coolers to manage heat generated by the extreme performance capability, active carbon-fibre rear wing, and Roush-calibrated Magneride suspension. The latter claims to retune the suspension for a more comfortable ride on the street, but when changed to sport or race mode will feature significant enhancements to cornering performance. To compliment this, ‘drag’ mode has its own specific suspension calibration.”

This example is a running a 10-speed automatic and has 30,500km on the odo. It’s with Lorbek in Melbourne, priced at $129,990.
