2015 Ford Mustang – today’s tempter

Popular revival model

The relaunch of Ford’s iconic Mustang in Australian in late 2015 for the 2016 model year created plenty of excitement and substantial sales.

As Mark Higgins points out in a story on the series, “Nailing the loud pedal the Mustang’s five-litre injected V8 dumps equal measures of power and adrenalin all the way to the redline. Its fierce acceleration, masses of torque and limited-slip diff help shoot it out of corners like a missile.

“Feisty thoroughbreds should be treated with respect and the Mustang is no different, as this one has a habit of breaking traction and chucking itself sideways through bends if you’re a tad enthusiastic with your right foot.”

The favoured spec was the 5.0lt V8 claiming 300kW matched to a six-speed manual or auto transmission.

This example in Adelaide is an auto and one of the very early cars to be registered locally. It claims just 6800km on the odo and is with Classic and American Imports at $51,900.
