2014 Holden SS-V Redline – today’s tempter

2014 Holden SS-V Redline

The last hurrah for locally-made Holdens turned out to be an exceptional series of cars, allowing the maker to bow out on a high note.

In a feature on the series we note: “Introduced in 2013, the VF was a substantial update on VE, with (as had become customary for mid-life updates) significant styling tweaks to the nose, tail and dashboard. VF carried an alloy bonnet and bootlid and substituted alloy for steel in some suspension components to help keep the weight down. Numerous special editions have been launched, including the International, the Storm, the Collingwood and the Craig Lowndes. Buyers of the very late production cars could also opt for the Motorsport and the Director. “

This utility is a top-level SS-V Redline, running the 6.0lt LS2 V8 powerplant, with a six-speed manual transmission.

In this form, they were a serious performance car with a giant boot.

Prestige Auto Gallery in Sydney has available at $64,990.
