The third-generation Benz C-class, styled by Karlheinz Bauer and Peter Pfeiffer was in production from 2007 to 2014.

The flagship was the AMG C63. A first for Benz, the 6208cc V8 was designed by AMG and slated for racing purposes.

The C63 ran heavily modified suspension and brakes with the seven-speed AMG Speedshift auto having four modes. Zero to 100km/h took 3.9 sec and top speed was limited to 250km/h.
