Be the Boss... for $25k
The FG GT was a stonking model from the Blue Oval, and when the FG first came blasting out of the gates in 2008, the GT pulled no punches in taking the fight to the very best HSV had to offer.
The hefty donk that powered the tough looking brute was Fords 5.4lt ‘Boss’ V8 which churned out a thumping 315kW (422hp) and 551Nm of torque.
The Boss’s shove could be mated to a choice of two gearboxes; either a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission or a ZF 6-speed torque converter automatic box.
The FPV wasn’t just all about straight line stuff though; it was also serious when it came stopping and going around corners.
As a result the GT got revised and tweaked suspension with stiffer spring and damper rates over its regular XR counterparts and was fitted with big Brembo calipers.
This particular GT is a 2008 model in ‘Octane’ orange and has 240,000 kilometres on the odometer from new, which the seller says is mostly highway mileage.
The seller adds that the GT has been well cared for and has been serviced regularly. It also has the added benefit of being fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission, which is surely the enthusiasts pick.
The FPV GT is $25,000 and any fans of the bent-8 Blue Oval can view the full listing here.
