2006 FPV BF Pursuit – Todays Tempter

Affordable workhorse from a bygone era

When the BF range arrived in 2005, the BF FPV Pursuit boasted a split-personality like only a V8 Aussie ute can.

It had a decent payload, but also boasted a 5.4lt quad-cam Boss 290 V8, capable of 290kW and a formidable 520Nm of torque.

Transmission options included either a new six-speed manual or a six-speed auto.

On the outside, the Pursuit gained many of the aero tweaks befitted to the FPV GT and gained bespoke skirts, 19″ five-spoke alloys, power bulge bonnet and a hard tonneau cover with a wing.

Something you don’t get with the FPV Pursuit is traction control, which should make driving with an unladen rear end pretty interesting for the enthusiastic driver.

This 2006 FPV Pursuit is optioned with the six-speed automatic and presents in fair original condition.

Absent in the photos is the hard tonneau cover, but the paint presents well in photos and the interior looks clean with no visible marks on the steering wheel and some very minor scuffing on the lower section of the doorcards.

The car comes with service history, log books and owner’s manual and the seller reports that the car has just had a major service and a full detail.

With 168,269kms on the odo, the car has travelled around 14,000kms per year.

The car is on offer by Performance Vehicle Warehouse in Western Australia, and is listed for $12,888.
