2005 Bentley Continental GT – today’s tempter

Brutish Brit

Volkswagen, owner of Bentley, was clearly enamoured with their new toy, launching it at the Geneva Motor Show, then a few months later at Le Mans, then at the 2003 Goodwood Festival of Speed and finally the 2003 annual Bentley Drivers Club meeting at Silverstone.

The GT was the first mass made Bentley and not a coach-built car as previously. Powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbo W12 engine, with 412 kW and 650Nm, the all-wheel-drive coupe took under five seconds to reach 100km/h and its top speed was 318 km/h.

This is what we think.

If you’ve ever thought of swanning around in abundant luxury behind the wheel of a big luxo coupe with unrivalled presence, while your senses are seduced by a booming V12 soundtrack, this Bentley Continental GT might suit.

With low kilometres it is reported to be in immaculate original condition with service history. Asking $88,888.
