2004 Porsche Boxster – today’s tempter

2004 Porsche Boxster

While Porsche fans have traditionally been suspicious of new platforms, the Boxster has over the years established itself as fun alternative to a 911 series.

A couple of Unique Cars staff own a Boxster S each. One of them, Dave Morley, had this to say of his example: “The car itself? Bloody brilliant. I was a judge on Motor mag’s Performance Car of the Year in 2002, when the Boxster S beat all comers (including the BMW M5, 911 GT3, HSV Clubsport, Audi S4, and many others) to take home the chockies.”

This ‘standard’ Boxster runs a 3.2lt flat six with six-speed manual transmission.

John Conroy in Brisbane has it on the market for $49,990.
