2002 BMW 325i – today’s tempter

Manual six

IF YOU have followed the generations of BMWs build across the years, you’ll know the company is famous for its straight sixes. With good reason.

There was no better illustration of this than the E46 M3 which one of our writers enthusiastically described as “a stonking sports car”.

Overall this was a successful series for the company, with huge numbers sold. So service knowledge and parts are readily available.

In a feature on the series we noted: The E46 was marginally larger than the E36 range it replaced, sitting on a wheelbase 25mm longer and adding 47mm in body width. Changes to materials used and construction techniques delivered a more rigid body-shell.”

This example ticks a lot of boxes with a 5-speed manual, full service history and RWC. It’s in Vic (near Bendigo) priced at $13,500.
