2001 Alfa Romeo GTV – today’s tempter

Italian V6

Penned by Pininfarina’s Enrico Fumia, the stylish Alfa Romeo GTV premiered alongside its two-seater Spider counterpart at the 1994 Paris Motor Show.

A facelifted was performed on the GTV in 1998, updating both the interior and minor touches around the body.

Two engine choices were provided for the 2001 model you see here: a 2.0-litre four, and the 24v, 3.0-litre ‘Busso’ V6 seen here, paired exclusively to a six-speed manual and sending a solid 162kW to the front wheels.

This NSW-based V6 has done little work for its age at a reported 95,300km, but has nonetheless seen an “extensive refurb” over the last year, including repaired 17-inch wheels, minor panel work, an interior cleanup, and a paint refresh. There’s also a 70mm Ragazzon exhaust fitted, though the original pipes are included.

The asking price is $33,000, with full service history included.
