This generation Aston Martin represents an interesting time for the marque, when Ford was providing the backing and designer Ian Callum made his presence felt with the elegant new body.
A Car & Driver review reveals: “Callum says he took a cut-no-corners approach to sculpting this overtly feminine shape, although one of the corners he did cut was a usable back seat. ‘I was not going to compromise the silhouette of the car to accommodate a six-foot- four passenger in the rear,’ he explains.”
The powerplant for these wasn’t the V8 or V12 you might expect, but a relatively light supercharged 3.2lt inline six claiming 335hp and in this case running a four-speed automatic.
