1995 Spa and Nurburgring 24 Hour-winning BMW for sale

Ex-BMW Works car, and winner of two prestigious endurance races

Best Heritage Auctions – the firm who recently held the ‘greatest garage sale ever’, is set to offer a number of historic race-bred cars at next year’s Tokyo Auto Salon.

Taking place on January 11 to January 12, this is the second year ever that the famous aftermarket industry expo will offer the public to purchase carefully curated cars at auction.

Headlining the sale thus far is one of the most prolific and competitive Super Touring Cars from the 90s.

Chassis E36 STC 95/006, a 1995 BMW E36 320i, is an ex-BMW Works car and the winner of the 1995 Nurburgring 24 Hour endurance race, and the winner of the 1995 ADAC SuperTourenWagen Cup that same year.

The car went on to win the 24 Hours at Spa Francorchamps in both 1996 and 1997.

The car presents impeccably as a 90s endurance racer could, and in iconic BMW Fina livery.

No pre-auction estimate has been provided as of yet, but it would make an awesome addition to the most any collection.

If race cars aren’t your fancy, there’s two incredibly niche but celebrated road cars.

One being an absolutely immaculate 1972 Nissan Skyline KPGC10 GT-R, with less than 22,300kms from new, and one of just 1197 produced.

It’s one of the most sought-after vehicles within the burgeoning Japanese collectible scene, and frequently fetches hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction.

The other car up for auction is a 1983 Nissan BS110 240RS, based on the S110 Silvia. Fitted a 2.4lt DOHC four-cylinder, the car was chosen as Nissan’s official World Rally Championship car from 1983 to 1985, whose best result came with a 2nd place finish at the 1983 New Zealand Rally.

The car represents just one of 200 built, and boasts less than 570kms from new.
