1994 Nissan Skyline GT-R – today’s tempter

Legendary sports car

If you are looking for a car with all the markers of a modern classic: cutting edge design, race-winning history and a comparative rarity, you quickly come to the conclusion that Nissan’s R32 Skyline ticks all the boxes.

The model comes from a special time for the Japanese auto industry. As Alex Affat noted in a feature on the R32: “The late-80s to the dawn of the millennium was the Japanese auto industry’s halcyon period. We’ll likely never see anything like it again.

“The Yokohama brand’s greatest road cars were being born…chief amongst these was the heroic Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R.”

Running a twin-turbo 2.6lt inline six, the R32 has a five-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive.

This one is with Prestige Auto Gallery in Sydney, priced at $149,990.
