1992 Toyota Celica – today’s tempter

Starter classic

Toyota Celica in several of its generations is still a bit of a sleeper on the classic car market, with asking prices of later examples still well below that of other Japanese hero cars.

Our tempter for today is a 1992 burler, presented in bright red with the aspirated four-pot paired with a five-cog manual gearbox.

It’s not the hallmark turbocharged GT-Four AWD fire breather built for world rallying, but throw the chrome spinners in the bin and you’ll have yourself a relatively inexpensive 1990s sportscar claimed to be in top condition, primed and ready for a club permit/registration.

The car is listed in Qld for $9000.
