aka the Subaru Brat
Subaru’s Brumby may not immediately spring to mind when you think about collectible cars, but there is evidence of a growing audience out there for them.
Also known as the Brat in many markets, it was widely sold in its first-generation (from 1978). Some had jump seats in the front of the rear tray, however that idea had disappeared when the second-gen came along. (Pictured above is a USA-model Brat with the aforementioned seats – pic: Wikimedia.)
The car was restyled for the second generation (from 1981) and scored an upgraded 1.8lt engine (up from 1.6) available in normally-aspirated and turbo form, with four-speed manual or three-speed auto transmission.
We suspect they now have a bit of a cult following.
This example claims to be largely original and is available in the current Shannons online event.
