Aussie classic
Back at the cusp of the eighties and nineties, if you wanted something a bit special, with some go, and that didn’t cost an absolute bomb, a Holden VN SS looked like a pretty good option.
Then, like any used car, they gradually fell out of favour as they aged and very few people paid them any attention.
Until relatively recently. In a 2018 feature we noted: “There’s no doubt Holden’s Commodore VN SS is one of the sleepers in the classic car market. For a while there, the demand was minimal, except among a few diehard fans. However that situation has changed radically over the last few years, with interest increasing – particularly since the cessation of local manufacturing – and with prices creeping up accordingly.”
This example is a 1991 model with 5.0lt V8 and four-speed auto. It’s located in Bentley, WA, and is on the market with Westside Auto Wholesale for $40,984.
