BMW’s E30 M3 was the start of an incredible 3-series lineage for the company and proved to be hugely successful on the racetrack.
In a feature on the model we noted: “The M3 was built for motorsport and remains perhaps the most successful touring car of all time. It won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring five times, the Spa 24 hour four times, numerous national championships, including Jim Richards scoring his second Australian Touring Car Championship.”
Under the bonnet is a 2.3lt inline four matched to a five-speed Getrag manual transmission, in a package said to be good for 235km/h.
This example claims to be a low-mile car at 63,000km and is with Young Timers Garage in Melbourne, priced at $199,990.
