Rare low-mileage collectible big rig: Two elderly owners from new in fantastic original condition
Vintage fourbies have traditionally remained niche cult classics, with small but passionate followings.
It’s a movement that appears to be gaining steam however, led by Defender 90s, vintage Toyota Landcruisers and early Range Rovers; all of which have seen very strong rises in price and desirability of late.
As these desirable models continue to be priced out of reach, other classic big rigs are gaining their ‘classic’ certification by trickle-down effect.
If you’re a lover of old jiggers fourbies offer unmatched useability and versatility, they’re full of classic charm that you can feasibly use every day!
This 1985 Mitsubishi NB Pajero is almost the perfect classic find.
In completely unrestored and original condition, the car comes from two elderly owners from new and boasts complete history with all receipts since it rolled off the lot back in 1985.
It’s got just 132,000kms on it, and has never been off road.
The engine was professionally rebuilt 40,000kms ago, and remains in excellent mechanical condition.
There are a few modern touches, like the CD player, weather shields and window tinting.
The car was sold new to John Hughes Skipper Mitsubishi in Perth, and the current owners purchased the car from the estate of the original elderly lady owner in 2013.
Paint shows some signs of use, as it’s been on the road for most of its 34 years of life; however the interior is mint, and the overall car presents fantastically!
The listing states that the owners are only selling as they have moved into a retirement home and no longer have a car space to keep “Ruby” as she is affectionately known.
They “will only sell to a genuine enthusiast or collector”, so if you think you cut the mustard to be the next custodian of this noble Pajero; it’s based in South Australia and is listed for $8,250.
