1985 Holden VK Berlina – today’s tempter

1985 Holden VK Berlina

Holden’s VH-VK series between them sold a whisker under 277,000 cars and saw the series move up several notches and saw the return of the SS badge in some variants.

As for the VK, we summed up the updates this way: “Large wrap-around moulded plastic bumpers, a three-slat plastic grille and extra side windows behind the rear doors’ window frames were the controversial styling updates for the VK Commodore in February 1984. There were also new badges: Executive, Berlina, SS and Calais were the steps up the range from the base SL.”

This Berlina is running a 4.2lt V8 with three-speed automatic transmission.

It claims recent refurbishment along with a new stainless steel exhaust system.

Located in Leopold (Vic), it’s on the market for $27,000.
