1985 Holden Commodore VK – Todays Aussie Muscle Tempter

Thumping V8 and Simmons… what’s not to love?

The VK Holden Commodore is the fourth iteration of the first generation of one of Australia’s best local automotive monikers.

Released in February of 1984, the VK replaced the outgoing VH Commodore, and stayed in production until February 1986.

Changes made over its predecessor were mostly aesthetic in nature, with the VK scoring a new front grille, plastic front and rear bumpers and the introduction of a rear quarter window.

The VK was made available to customers as either a four-door sedan or a five-door station wagon.

This example is a 1985 model that has been reimagined to replicate an HDT SS and comes complete with a brand new 5.0lt V8 and trimatic auto transmission.

The seller says it has also recently had its brakes and suspension serviced and is sitting on a set of 20-inch Simmons wheels.

The VK Commodore is $35,000 and anyone interested in this fantastic faux HDT SS can view the full listing here
