I’ve had my Group A for 17-years, and it’s actually the second Group A that I’ve owned.
I had one originally when I was 21 and I loved it to bits, and although I sold that particular car, I always knew I’d have another Group A one day.
This one’s just undergone an 18-month restoration that included a bare-metal re-spray and rebuilt motor.

It looks stock, but we turned up the wick a bit on the V8, and it’s got a bit more compression, flat-top pistons and a bigger hydraulic cam.
Now that all the work’s completed on the car, I’m planning on driving it a lot more to club events, which should be great.
I’ve also got a VK Director, so really it’s the best of both worlds; Calais for cruising, and the Group A for going fast!
