87,000ks with original paint and like-new interior
Holden’s VK range of Commodore introduced the era of plastic bumpers, with production spanning two years from 1984 to 1986.
The car also gained rear quarter windows for a greater glasshouse and airy cabin, as well as a new grille and tail light assemblies.
Under the bonnet, buyers could opt for a choice of two six-cylinder black motors – either carburetted or EFI; as well as two V8 options. Gearbox options included either a four or five-speed manual or three-speed automatic gearbox.
This first-year VK Berlina looks like a quite a find it all is as described.
Fitted with the 3.3lt six and three-speed auto, the car bears a reported 87,000ks on the clock and has received new tyres 12 months ago. The car retains its original Everglade paint and the avocado velour interior presents like-new.
The seller states that the car has “good” suspension, steering, engine, transmission and brakes – “literally nothing to do”.
Overall, the old Berlina looks incredibly well-kept and has obviously been loved. It’s rare to find one in such surviving and pristine condition – it could well be worth a look!
The VK is based in Victoria, and is listed for $16,500 (or nearest offer).
