This one looks very tidy
The VK Holden Commodore is the fourth iteration of the first generation of arguably Australia’s most iconic automotive moniker.
Released in February of 1984, the VK replaced the outgoing VH Commodore and stayed in production until February 1986.
Changes made over its predecessor were mostly cosmetic in nature, and included the introduction of plastic bumpers front and rear, the addition of rear quarter windows, a revised front grille and a new taillight design.
The VK was only made available to customers in two body styles; a four-door sedan and a five-door wagon.
Power came from a range of motors that comprised the 1.9lt ‘Starfire’ inline four-cylinder (New Zealand Market only), 3.3lt inline six-cylinder and a 4.9lt or 5.0lt V8.
These motors sent their drive to the VKs rear wheels via either a four or five-speed manual or a three-speed automatic transmission.
There were a number of different models across the VK range, and these included the SL, Executive, Berlina, SS and Calais.
This particular VK Commodore is an ’84 Executive and comes equipped with the 3.3lt inline six-cylinder motor and three-speed automatic transmission.
According to the seller, the VK has travelled an original 118,000 kilometres from new and is in excellent condition both inside and out.
The tidy VK is $7500 and anyone interested in this low-mileage Aussie classic can view the full listing here.
