1983 Toyota Supra – today’s tempter

Classic Japanese coupe

The 2020 revival of the Supra name has meant people who might have forgotten about the early series have developed a new interest.

This second generation car is an example of when the series sprouted a low, lean and aerodynamic look that made it stand out in the market. For followers of the series, this is an era that has a baffling number of variants, including luxury and sporting lines.

They included five inline six engines from 2.0 to 2.8lt, a turbo, and one or two overhead cams. Transmissions were five-speed manuals or four-speed autos.

Located near Cairns in north Queensland, this car is a 2.8lt with auto. It’s said to have had some mechanical work done and is on the market for $18,000.
