Cheap club car? Look at this absolute time-capsule with just 40,000ks travelled since new!
The first-generation N10 Pulsar was sold under various names around the world; and was offered in a variety of body styles including three and five-door hatchback, station wagon, fastback sedan and coupes.
They were a simple bit of kit; and one of Datsun/Nissan’s breakout small cars for the world. Underneath the front, they had rack-and-pinion steering and independent front coil suspension, with coil-sprung trailing arms out back; with a range of inline-fours under the bonnet and in most cases, a four-speed manual in the middle.
Built from 1978 until 1982 when the N12 range was introduced; the first-gen Pulsar gained an update late in 1981 – visually distinguished by the more modern rectangular headlamps, and bringing with it a new range of Nissan overhead-cam engines.
Okay –perhaps we must admit: we’re playing fast and loose with the “tempter” tagline here for a number of you, we’re sure. But when was the last time you saw any old Nissan Pulsar THIS CLEAN!?
This final-year 1982 N10 Nissan Pulsar bears the largest available overhead-cam 1.5lt E-series inline four-cylinder mated to an automatic gearbox.
It presents virtually as close to new as you’ll likely ever find, with just 40,000kms travelled since new; and has also recently received four new tyres, a new exhaust and new CV boots.
It’s a rare find in this outstanding condition, and will certainly pull a crowd at the next Nissan/Datsun owner’s club meeting, or one of the many All Japan car shows on the annual calendar.
Listed for just $4,500, we reckon this little trooper is well deserving of preserving.
