1982 Holden Commodore VH SL/X – Todays Aussie Classic Tempter

This one looks tidy

The VH Holden Commodore was the third iteration of the first generation of arguably Australia’s greatest automotive marque.

Built between October 1981 and February 1984, the VH replaced the outgoing VC, and brought with it modest styling tweaks and mechanical upgrades.

Power came from a range of different donks that included a 1.9lt inline four-cylinder, 2.85lt and 3.3lt inline six-cylinder and a 4.2lt and 5.0lt V8.

The shove from this various array of donks was sent to the rear wheels via a either a four or five-speed manual or a three-speed automatic transmission.

The Commodore could be had in a number of different specifications that comprised the SL, SL/E, SL/X, SS and Vacationer.

The VH was only made available to consumers in either a four-door sedan or a four-door wagon.

This particular VH is a ’82 model SL/X with the 3.3lt inline six-cylinder motor and the three-speed automatic transmission.

According to the seller, the vehicle has travelled an original 136,000 kilometres from new and, judging from the photos, appears to be in good condition.

The VH is $25,000 and anyone interested in this clean example of an Aussie icon can view the full listing here.
