1982 Holden Commodore SS – today’s project tempter

Got some tools and some time?

This is one of those situations where you probably need plenty of time, patience and skills, but could be rewarded with an inexpensive and good car at the end of it.

It’s not often we see a broker advertising a project car, but this VH Commodore SS does look interesting.

It claims to have a complete history, with all the orignal compnentry in place, bar the windscreen.

We’re told the bodywork (as in rust repairs) has essentially been done, and it sounds as though the complete engine is due for a freshen-up.

That’s a 4.2lt V8 by the way, complemented with a four-speed M21 manual transmission.

The car is said to have done 242,000km and the Maranello Red paintwork is the original colour.

So, are you game? Australian Muscle Car Stables is handling this one, which is located in WA and priced at $17k.
