1980 Chevrolet Corvette C3 – Todays Tempter

After an affordable classic that makes a statement? Hard to go past the C3 Corvette!

Corvette collecting can be hard to get your head around, with prices varying wildly between generations – and even between variants within those generations.

The most lucrative collectors gravitate towards the early C1 and C2 generations for their acclaimed and much-loved styling.

The later C3 generation straddles the line between mainstream appeal and accessibility; gaining much of those gorgeous swoopy lines, big V8s while not being too prohibitively expensive.

You can step into a C3 Corvette with even more savings if you can forego the much-loved chrome bumpers, with post-1973 cars gaining a fibreglass nose cone and rear fascia.
