1977 Holden HX Premier – Todays Tempter

A sweet 70s all-Aussie family wagon, what more could you want?

Rejoice, for wagons are cool again!

But it can be slim pickings out on the scondhand-market as they endured decades of hard family use, and many of them were used as tradies’ workhorses when they were swapped for something new.

Subsequently, the survival rate for clean 70s wagons isn’t significant – but this sweet looking HX Prem reportedly was previously bought from its original owner of 40 years, after which it was left parked for nearly a decade.

With full matching numbers, with original 202ci six and T-bar auto, the car retains its factory power steering and power rear window.

It’s almost a complete survivor, save for the roof that was resprayed by its previous owner.

There is reportedly minor rust in the tail gate but the rest of the car is described as “clean”.

Overall, the factory Contessa gold and Cotillion white roof present superbly in photos, as does the brown leather interior.

With a genuine odo reading of 173,200kms from new, the sale will include the car’s original GMH Owner’s Manual and original GMH Build Sheet.

The car is based in Adelaide, and is available via Australian Muscle Car Sales.

Listed for $24,500 – this sweet family wagon looks like an amazing weekend cruiser!
