Home-grown Falcon
Unique to Australia and hugely successful, Ford ‘s XA-XC Falcon series has left quite a legacy for enthusiasts to play with.
In a feature on the development of the XA-XC series, former staffer David Ford told us: “While other parts of Ford were constantly changing model names we stuck with Falcon because we felt it was right.
“When Holden went from Kingswood to Commodore there was a suggestion we should change the name, but I was very much opposed to doing that. Falcon was well recognised and everybody understood what it was.”
This example in Western Australia is a 1977 GS with 302 V8 and auto. The owner says they have had the car for 25 years and that it is in good shape overall.
It’s on the market in the Margaret River region at $52,000.
