Rare five-speed manual
It’s not every day you’ll come across one of these: an LE3 929 with the inline four powerplant mated to a five-speed manual.
These cars were produced from the makers’s Luce platform, which included sedans and wagons. Several engines were used, including aa 1.8lt and 2.0lt four, the 12A and 13B rotaries, plus a 2.2lt diesel.
Transmissions indcluded five and four-speed manuals, plus a three-speed auto.
This car has the 1.8lt four matched to a five-speed.
For its day (1976-77) it was regarded as a substantial and upmarket car for the Japanese marque.
The Qld-based owner says this example needs a a few issues addressed and is asking $50k.
