Original owner, original rego, original condition!
The VJ Valiant, produced from 1973-1975, had something for everyone in the range.
Available in a slew of body styles ranging from sedans, to wagons, coupes and utes.
A redesign of the preceding VH; the VJ gained a new front end, new trim and a larger palette of colours to choose from at the dealership.
On the mechanical front; certain VJ models were the first Aussie cars to receive electronic ignition – and 1974 saw further standard equipment added, including: front power assisted brakes, retracting front seat belts, better NVH and a front stabiliser bar.
Punters also had a thorough range of engines to choose from; with Chrysler’s ‘Hemi Six’ available in 215ci (3.5lt), 245ci (4.0lt) and 265ci (4.3lt) displacements. 318ci, and 340ci V8s were available too, though the 340 was replaced by a 360 in 1974.
Most VJs had either three-speed autos or manuals in them – though four-speeds do exist and are highly sought-after.
Everyone loves a good 70s Aussie wagon, though they’ve found themselves to be pretty hot items of late.
This 1975 VJ Wagon is fitted with the 245ci Hemi Six, mated to a three-speed auto.
It looks to be in outstanding condition, with the seller claiming to be the original owner – with the car also bearing original and current registration – as well as coming with original plates, keys and books.
The car looks incredibly hard to fault, both inside and out, and could be an awesome buy at $22,000.
The car is based in Melbourne, and you can check out the full listing here!
