1972 Jaguar E-type – today’s tempter

Classic Brit

For many, the Jaguar E-type is the quintessential sixties British coupe, with styling that has rarely if ever surpassed.

In a feature on the series we noted: “When the E-Type arrived in 1961, it brought all these motorsport-derived developments with it, but in a sleek road car that even the redoubtable Enzo Ferrari was heard describe as the most beautiful car in the world. With a mythical claimed top speed of 150mph (it was proven to be closer to 140mph) and handling and braking that was benchmark for the day, the E-Type shone brightly.”

This example is running the 5.3lt V12 engine with four-speed manual transmission.

It’s with John Conroy in Brisbane, priced at $224,990.
