1972 Jaguar E-type – today’s tempter

1972 Jaguar E-type

Elegant with advanced underpinnings, Jaguar’s E-type was a ground-breaking design for its time that has since gone on to become a much-loved classic.

In a feature on the series, Mark Higgins notes: “The E-type was really like nothing else before it boasting power-assisted disc brakes, (in-board rears) rack and pinion steering, rear independent suspension torsion bars at the front and the employment of racing design principles such as having a spaceframe carrying the engine, front suspension and front bodywork.”

This example is running a 5.3lt V12 engine with automatic transmission.

The seller says it has undergone a complete restoration and has the correct engine and chassis numbers.

Located in Sydney, it’s on the market with Prestige Motor Gallery, priced at $219,990.
