1971 Holden HG – today’s tempter

350 V8

If a chrome bumper Aussie sedan with plenty of shove does it for you, this may be worth a look. Then this ’71 HG sedan would be an absolute pearler. Underneath the beautiful blue paintwork is a 350 Chevy small-block V8, paired with a turbo 350 automatic ‘box and a beefy nine-inch rear diff.

Inside is a striking white and black interior, complete with the 70s-era ash trays still in the back of the front bucket seats.

Overall the effect is something that looks right for the period while clearly having a distinctive style.

We’ve seen HG prices march away in recent years, with Monaros and of course Premiers leading the numbers.

However they remain practical classics with plenty of resources out there to restore and play with them.

The seller is asking $65,000
