Ripping replica
To many blue oval fans the XY series was the zenith of all Falcons. A facelifted XW in some ways, what set the XY apart was the GT and its outrageous shaker poking up through the bonnet. It was unseen on an Australian car.
Fifty years of GT-HO Phase III
The first owner cleverly specced this Fairmont GS Pack K-code sedan to be as close to a GT as possible without the massive insurance premium. It started life with a 351 V8, four speed top loader manual, factory aircon, power steering and dual exhausts. In its time it has had three owners.
Now, as a GT replica it boasts a 5-speed Tremec (the 4-speed top loader is included), Globe wheels and a new colour, Vintage Burgundy. It has also sprouted the shaker exclusive to GT and a GT-HOs. This example is priced at $155,990 from Muscle Car Stables. Click here for more details.
