1970 Honda N360 – Reader Ride

We caught up with Ben Davis and his 1970 Honda N360 at the recent All Japan Day in SA

“I keep my eyes and ears open for these; people know I want them. This one came from Victoria while my other car, an N600, came from NSW. Still, it took me 12 years to find this N360 and it’s only been back on the road for about seven months.

“I went through all the brakes and rebuilt the carby using re-machined Daihatsu Mira jets. I had to source NOS points and condensers from the Netherlands”, Ben says

“My nanna had one of these when I was a young fella; it was exactly the same, right down to the 360cc motor and Y27 Tawny Yellow paint. My other car is the export-only N600, with a bonnet bulge, a different grille and the spare wheel relocated from under the bonnet to under the car.

“There’s only one other N-series on the road in SA that I know of and that one is another N600, so they’re pretty rare now.
