Restorer’s dream? Complete one-owner HG Monaro GTS with all original pieces, stored for 30 years
In need of a project since we’ve all been spending more time at home?
This HG Monaro GTS looks prime and ready for a resto.
It is said to be a genuine one-owner car with log books, sold new Wheelers Motors and only recently coming out of dry storage for the past 30 years.
The car comes with its numbers-correct 253ci V8 and two-speed Powerglide auto, factory finished in gold over gold trim interior.
Obviously, the car needs body, paint, upholstery and assembly, but it’s a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine one-owner, original and unrestored HG Monaro GTS – we don’t imagine there’s many left out there with those credentials.
The body is described as dry and completely free of rust, whilst all original components are present and intact.
The HG Monaro is the last of the original generation body, with the GTS gaining thicker front power disc brakes and softer suspension.
Anyone looking to take on this project can find it in New South Wales, listed for $69,990.
