1970 Ford GS – today’s tempter

1970 Ford GS

Often overlooked in favour of the more aggressive GTs, for GS Falcons of this era offered V8 performance without necessarily copping the unwelcome attention that a GT badge sometimes attracted.

As we point out in a feature on this series: “All of which made stuff like Fairmonts and Falcons with GS option packs so much more of a real-world proposition. You could still option up a V8 engine and a lot of good gear that went with it, but without a GT badge to be seen, so the insurance company death squads usually left you alone. Even the highway patrol was less likely to take an interest.”

Pennant Hills Auto in Sydney has it on the market for $130,000.
