Big and Beautiful
The ZB Ford Fairlane is the second iteration of the first generation of the large, luxury focused, locally developed sedan built by the Blue Oval.
The ZB replaced the outgoing ZA Fairlane, and was first introduced in 1968 and stayed in production for just one year before being replaced by the ZC.
Changes made over ZA Fairlane were fairly inconsequential, however, the two engines utilised by the Fairlane, an inline six-cylinder and Windsor V8, both had their displacements increased to 3.62lt and 4.95lt respectively.
The shove from these two donks was sent to the Fairlanes rear wheels via a two-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
This particular ZB Fairlane is a 1968 model and, according to the seller, the vehicle has only had two owners from new.
The seller adds that the vehicle is in very original condition and has never been unregistered or taken off the road.
In addition, the vehicle has been resprayed in its factory original Polar White and the Windsor V8 and Cruise-O-Matic transmission have been rebuilt.
The ZB Fairlane is $36,000 and anyone interested in this opulent Aussie cruiser can view the full listing here.
