Rare HK Windowless Panel Van, recently undergone extensive four-year restoration
60s Panel Vans are an increasingly rare breed as many did not survive the years of life as commercial vehicles.
This 1968 HK Belmont Windowless Van caught our eye due to its stunning condition, and looks pretty much showroom fresh!
The car has undergone a four and a half year restoration, seeing it repainted in its original Pinaroo Beige with Goya Red interior.
Though the car began life as a six-cylinder, the running gear has been transplanted with period-correct 307 V8 with two-speed PowerGlide. Up the rear is a 2.78 ratio LSD with pink tail shaft as per factory specification.
The underbody still retains its original sheet metal, and is untouched. Seats were restored using new old stock trim, with many new parts as well as restored and rebuilt components throughout the restoration.
The car is reportedly in great running condition, and is currently on Club Registration in South Australia.
Listed for $67,500 – the car isn’t cheap, though it’s an incredibly rare model that looks to have had almost all the work done to it already!
The car is based in South Australia and is available via Australian Muscle Car Sales.
