1967 Ford Mustang GT – today’s tempter

GTA 390

If you were in the market for a Mustang, this ticks a lot of boxes: fastback, S-code 390, GTA. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill car.

In a feature on this model, John Bowe commented: “The mass-produced Mustang redefined American cars. Built from 1964, this was the very first ‘pony car’, and then everyone started making similar type cars. Everyone’s got their personal favourites, but I’ve got a soft spot for this one. By 1967, they’d got a bit bigger, a bit wider, with bigger engines and this surely has to be the best-looking one of the lot.”

This example has been converted to right-hand drive and is running a 390ci (6.4lt) V8 with the three-speed auto. It’s claiming a relatively low 84,000 miles (135,000km) along with power steering and air-con.

Located in Adelaide, it’s on the market at $110,000
