1966 Ford Mustang – Todays Tempter

289 V8, automatic with new paint and original rust free floor

Ford’s Mustang remains one of the world’s most recognisable cars, birthing the pony car movement and taking personal sports motoring – bundling it with 60s optimism – and making it affordable and desirable.

1.3 million cars were produced over the first three years of production and have been a collecting mainstay ever since.

This 1966 Ford Mustang presents in US-spec left hand drive, and bears the 289 V8 and automatic transmission.

The car was repainted metallic blue in Australia, with all new emblems, lights and lenses fitted. The car also features new front and rear bumpers, along with a striking two-tone interior.

Underneath, the car features power disc brakes behind new wheels and tyres. The suspension has been refurbished, and the car still bears its original rust-free floorpan.

The car looks great both outside and in, and appears to have had some serious labour thrown at it.

If you’re after an American weekend classic, this turn-key package could well be worth a look.

The car is based in South Australia, and is listed for $45,990.
