1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia – today’s tempter

Italian classic

Alfa Romeo’s pretty sixties classic the 105 Giulia has seen value soar in recent years, and a quick drive of one will soon reveal why.

In our buyer guide on these cars we said: “The Giulia 1600 GT coupe appeared in 1963, with styling by Giorgio Giugiaro who had commenced his career with Bertone just three years earlier. Its twin-camshaft 1570cc engine was highly advanced for its time, revved freely and produced 93kW. Also appealing to enthusiast owners were the five-speed gearbox, all-wheel disc brakes and grippy Pirelli radials.”

The Sprint GT shown here is a relatively scarce factory right-hand-drive and there is a record of some restoration work to keep it on the road.

This example is located in Melbourne with the Healey Factory and is priced at $105,000.
