Rare Humber Sceptre, original paint in great running condition
It’s been 50 years since the last new Humber was sold in Australia.
They’re supported by passionate owners groups and enthusiasts, and have seen prices rising as of late, but not rapidly enough to render restoration projects unviable.
This little Humber Sceptre represents one of the few that were imported into Australia in 1964.
It borrowed much of its luxury features from the larger Humber Super Snipe, but presented it all in a wonderfully finned little package.
This one bears its original two-tone paint; and has been fitted with new tyres, an upgraded CD radio, as well as a power disc brake conversion up front. Seatbelts were also fitted to the front and rear seats.
Overall, the car looks to be in great condition for its age.
It’s in running condition, powered by a 1725cc four-cylinder motor complimented by a four-speed floor-mounted manual with electric overdrive.
Listed for $14,000, this quirky little Brit could be a great entry point into classic car ownership – or as the listing states, would make an excellent club or rally car!
