Straight 8 cruiser
There’s something about late 1940s American cars that really gets our attention. We reckon it’s the inherent optimism of the designs which still carry just a hint of art deco in the details.
For example, look at the dash of this Buick Super and you’ll see what we mean.
It’s a restomod, though whoever did or commisioned the work has gone in with a light touch.
For example a period Fireball straight eight engine is in place, which we see as being far preferable to a later V8 when it comes to retaning the car’s unique character.
It’s also running a three-speed manual transmission and claims to have undergone an extensive three-year rebuild.
It’s at auction with Collecting Cars.
