Snapshot: 1929 De Soto Series K Roadster

It’s not every day we stroll into this end of the history books, but we couldn’t help but notice that cars of this era are pretty good value

That’s particularly the case when you look at the stratospheric numbers sixties and seventies Aussie muscle cars are pulling. Take this De Soto as an example.

With a rubber-mounted straight-six engine, three-speed transmission and four-wheel hydraulic brakes, it was regarded as a very upmarket car for its day.

De Soto was a Chrysler brand started in 1928 and this one has undergone a fair bit of restoration.

Rainsfords in SA has the keys, and a lot of other models of the era, which generally cost around the mid-twenties.
