1973 HQ Holden GTS tribute - today's tempter
Aussie classic restomod
The release of the HQ series was a massive undertaking for Holden and was to become a huge success.
In a feature on the series, Mark Higgins noted: "July 15, 1971, was big for General-Motors Holden and the Australian auto industry with the introduction of its radically different Holden HQ, a ground-up new design featuring an all-new chassis, body and suspension layout.
"Gone was the boxy shape of previous generations, replaced by a far more stylish soft-cornered body with a prominent hip line that Aussie buyers fell in love with."
This example is a GTS tribute, complete with 336 stroker V8 and three-speed automatic transmission with sports shift.
Located in Geelong, Vic, it’s on the market at $80,000.
