1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT - today's tempter
Italian classic
There’s no doubt that Alfa Romeo’s Giulia Sprint series out of the 1960s and seventies has become one of the hero cars of the classic world, generating huge interest and substantial value growth.
In a feature on this series we said: "You'd have to take a long walk back in time to fully understand the significance of this model to the reputation of Alfa Romeo. Here was a light car with big car comfort, very solid performance and handling along with great brakes. Add in the styling which has aged beautifully and you have a car that was ahead of its time."
This example is running the 1600 DOHC inline four powerplant with five-speed transmission. It is said to have been the subject of a considerable amount of restoration work.
Classic Car Market in Queensland has it at $139,995.
