'Banned' Bentley Continental ad featuring John Bowe doing 330km/h in controlled conditions is still available

After a complaint from the rather grandly-titled Pedestrian Council of Australia, which was upheld by the Advertising Standards Bureau, a video showing a Bentley Continental GT Speed doing 330km/h has been pulled down from the manufacturer’s digital channels.

Unique Cars magazine staffer and the driver in the ad, John Bowe, was incensed at the move, saying in a recent Facebook post: "Are we really such a nanny country that this Bentley ad I did can't be shown?!
"This whole thing was conducted under the safest conditions known to man, and the whole intro sets the scene. It's more dangerous driving down St Kilda Road! Lord save us from the do-gooders! Don't you reckon?"
The complaint was upheld because it showed a road car on a road exceeding the speed limit. The fact it was clearly a well-run and controlled event, with race legend Bowe at the wheel, counted for nil.

Never mind. You can see it here:
